The 2-GW renewables joint venture (JV) proposed by PPC SA (ATH:PPC) and German energy major RWE AG (ETR:RWE) has been approved by the Greek utility.
-- Brazil's Renova picks buyer for 408-MW Alto Sertao Phase B
Brazilian renewables developer Renova Energia SA (BVMF:RNEW11) has picked an investment fund managed by Prisma Capital Ltda as the winning bidder in a tender for the sale of the 408-MW Phase B of its Alto Sertao III wind power project.

US utilities holding PNM Resources Inc (NYSE:PNM) said that the overwhelming majority of its shareholders voted to approve the company’s merger agreement with Avangrid Inc (NYSE:AGR), the North American clean energy business of Spanish group Iberdrola SA (BME:IBE).

UK’s Lightsource BP said that it has acquired a portfolio of 845 MW of solar projects in Spain from local developer Iberia Solar.

Irish renewable infrastructure company Greencoat Renewables Plc (LON:GRP) announced a deal to purchase a 43.2-MW subsidy-free wind farm project in Finland from German developer ABO Wind AG (ETR:AB9).

EDP Comercial, a subsidiary of Portuguese energy giant EDP (ELI:EDP), has acquired Italian solar self-consumption solutions company Enertel.

German renewables firm Blue Elephant Energy AG has agreed to acquire 45 MWp of solar parks in Greece from compatriot ABO Wind AG for an undisclosed sum.

Madrid-based platform Matrix Renewables, created by asset manager TPG, said it has entered into a partnership with Spanish renewables developer Rolwind to develop a 1-GW pipeline.

US renewables developer Longroad Energy Holdings LLC said it has struck a deal to acquire roughly 900 MW DC of solar projects in Arizona from First Solar Inc (NASDAQ:FSLR).

Greek industrial group Mytilineos SA has acquired a 1.48-GW solar project portfolio at home along with a battery storage pipeline from Egnatia Group for a total of EUR 56 million.

Octopus Renewables, the clean energy investment arm of the Octopus Group, has agreed to sell 173 MW of zero-subsidy solar projects in Italy to local utility A2A SpA (BIT:A2A) at an equity value of EUR 205 million.

Germany’s BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH said it has acquired the 50-MW High Constellation wind farm project in Scotland.

Danish energy company Nordic Solar said it has closed the acquisition of a 48.5-MWp solar project in Portugal from Chinese developer Chint Solar, without providing financial details.

Stem Inc, an energy storage expert that agreed a tie-up with a publicly-traded special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) in December, announced the board of directors for the post-merger company.
