(SeeNews) - Jul 6, 2011 - German renewable power equipment maker Vario Green Energy Concept GmbH today announced the completion of six solar parks in Slovakia.
The parks, based in Poltar, Biskupice and Rumince and with a total capacity of 6.2 MW, will be able to supply 7 GWh of electricity to the local grid.
Vario is planning to stay on the Slovak market, where its total installed capacity now stands at 7.8 MW, but will focus only on roof-top installations in the future due to the change in the Slovak legislation for the solar power sector, the company said.
From July 1 this year, the Slovak government will subsidise only roof-top mounted installations with a capacity of 100 kW or less.
