March 25 (Renewables Now) - Denmark’s European Energy A/S on Friday said it has closed the sale of a portion of an 18-MW wind farm in Denmark to German alternative investment manager Aquila Capital for an undisclosed sum.
The so-called Ringkobing-Skjern wind farm in the municipality of Ringkobing-Skjern is equipped with six Vestas V126-3.6 MW turbines, five of which will now be owned by Aquila. European Energy will keep ownership of the remaining one machine.
The Danish wind and solar projects developer agreed to sell a part of the Ringkobing-Skjern plant at the beginning of February without disclosing the name of the buyer at the time. The plant has been generating electricity since early 2018.
European Energy noted that the deal will have a positive contribution to its financial position.
