December 21 (Renewables Now) - French multi-energy major TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTE) has delivered a 1,138-kWp solar rooftop solution for Indonesia’s largest chocolate maker PT Freyabadi Indotama, the companies announced in a joint statement.

The mini solar plant was installed atop Freyabadi’s chocolate factory in the town of Karawang. TotalEnergies used 2,128 panels for this project, installing them over 5,400 square metres of the rooftop space.

The system will produce around 1,643 MWh of power per year, and help the chocolate factory meet 12.6% of its electricity needs, the statement reads.

Under the agreement with the customer, TotalEnergies will operate the rooftop plant, while Freyabadi will pay for the power the system generates for 20 years.
