June 18 (Renewables Now) - Renewable Energy Systems Ltd (RES) on Saturday inaugurated a 17.6-MW wind park in Lorraine, Meuse department, northeastern France.
The so-called Rosieres wind farm comprises eight of Vestas’ V100 wind turbines, each with a generation capacity of 2.2 MW. Combined, they are able to produce enough power to meet the annual consumption of over 22,400 people.
RES began building the plant in March 2018 and achieved full commissioning in December 2018, it said.
Also in Lorraine, RES built the 36-MW Trois Sources wind farm, which has been operational since 2007.
