to-the-point: Perry Ellis powers S Carolina warehouse with new PV system

April 17 (Renewables Now) - US fashion company Perry Ellis International Inc has installed a solar photovoltaic (PV) array on the rooftop of its distribution centre in Seneca, South Carolina, to power the building’s operations with close to 60% of clean electricity each year.

Perry Ellis relied on Consolidated Edison Solutions Inc to design and install the PV system, consisting of 2,432 solar panels, on the previously unused rooftop, the energy services company said Monday.

The array, of undisclosed capacity, will generate approximately 1.15 GWh annually.
