to-the-point: Meyer Burger to supply SWCT platform for HJT solar cells

July 25 (Renewables Now) - Meyer Burger Technology AG (SWX:MBTN) announced today that an unnamed international solar module manufacturer in Southeast Asia has ordered a 200-MW SmartWire Connection Technology (SWCT) manufacturing platform.

The Swiss solar machinery maker said that the equipment will be used with Heterojunction (HJT) solar cells. It anticipates to deliver and install the platform towards the end of 2018.

Commissioning and ramp-up of the SmartWire solar module production line is expected during the first half of 2019, the announcement says.
