to-the-point: JA Solar delivers modules for 3-MW rooftop project in Jordan

March 20 (Renewables Now) - Chinese solar products maker JA Solar Holdings Co Ltd (NASDAQ:JASO) said today it has provided 3 MW of photovoltaic (PV) modules for the largest rooftop solar project so far in Jordan.

The solar array is located at Yarmouk University and is made up of 9,232 solar panels installed atop the roofs of 29 buildings across the campus.  The project was developed, designed and built by local renewable energy company Kawar Energy.

JA Solar said that in 2017 its total solar module shipment to Jordan reached 130.2 MW, accounting for almost 50% of the market.
