to-the-point: Engie inks 10-year PPA with Spanish gym chain

May 9 (Renewables Now) - Engie Espana will supply electricity from renewables to Spanish fitness chain GO Fit under a 10-year purchase power agreement (PPA), the unit of France’s Engie (EPA:ENGI) announced on Monday.

The PPA, effective as of April 1, 2019, covers almost the entire power demand of GO Fit’s 19 sports facilities. The power is coming with certificates of origin. 

The Engie group holds a renewables portfolio of around 2 GW backed by PPAs worldwide.
