Tekmar gets job on 605-MW Kriegers Flak offshore wind project

January 22 (Renewables Now) - Tekmar Energy Ltd has won contracts to supply cable protection systems and cable hang-off assemblies for the 604.8-MW Kriegers Flak offshore wind project in Danish waters.

The company, part of Tekmar Group Plc (LON:TGP), was awarded the job by Global Marine Group and JDR Cables. It will supply 150 TekLink Mechanical Latch cable protection systems and 151 sealed hang-off clamps.

The Kriegers Flak project is being developed by Swedish utility Vattenfall AB in the Baltic Sea. It will be comprised of 72 turbines of 8.4 MW each and upon completion will be able to cover the power consumption of roughly 600,000 homes.
