SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), November 9 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Swisslion Trebinje, part of Serbia-based confectionary group Swisslion Takovo, will build a 5 MW photovoltaic (PV) power plant in the town of Trebinje, Bosnian media reported.

The PV plant will spread on an area of 20,000 square metres, news provider Trebinje Live reported last week.

The company will use the electricity generated by the solar power plant to meet its own needs as well as the needs of the market, Trebinje Live reported, adding that Bosnian oil products trader Hifa Oil will partner with Swisslion in the project.

Hifa Oil said in a statement over the weekend that it has signed a contract with Swisslion Takovo for the construction of a PV power plant in Trebinje which will use solar panels and inverters manufactured respectively by Chinese companies Longi and Huawei.

Hifa Oil is the authorised distributor of Longi and Huawei products for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
