Solar energy to power Fujitsu HQ in Tokyo

Fujitsu headquarters, Tokyo.

September 27 (Renewables Now) - Japanese information and communication technology company Fujitsu Limited (TYO: 6702) on Friday said its global headquarters in Tokyo will be powered by solar energy from October.

The company's headquarters building in the Shiodome district will be powered by 100% renewable energy thanks to the Green Energy Supply Service offered by the property manager, Mitsui Fudosan Co. The service provides office buildings with power from post-FiT residential solar installations.

The move is part of Fujitsu's efforts aimed at the optimisation of indirect material cost management and the creation of a sustainability cycle. This is the first such project for Fujitsu's rented offices in Japan.
