PPC Renewables seeks contractor for 19.8 MW of wind projects

April 8 (Renewables Now) - PPC Renewables SA, a unit of Greek utility PPC SA (ATH:PPC), on Monday launched a tender for the construction and repowering of 10 wind farms at home with a combined capacity of 19.8 MW.

Via the competitive process, the company is seeking a party to design, procure, transport, install and commission the wind parks across Greece. The scope of work will cover the construction of two new wind parks, namely Chios Potamia and Mykonos Fry, with capacities of 0.9 MW and 1.8 MW, respectively. The other eight projects involve the repowering of already operational facilities with capacities ranging between 0.9 MW and 5.4 MW.

The total cost of the contract is EUR 36.2 million (USD 40.6m), without value added tax (VAT), according to a notice on the EU’s Tenders Electronic Daily (TED).

The project also includes the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the wind farms for a period of 14 years that will be awarded under separate contracts.
