April 17 (Renewables Now) - Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) said today that customers have ordered turbines for wind farms in 13 countries totalling 1,035 MW during the first three months of the year.
“Particular interest is being triggered by the Delta4000 series, which we managed to sell for the first time outside Europe, specifically in Australia and Argentina, in the first quarter,” said CEO Jose Luis Blanco. The Delta4000 series accounts for over 35% of the orders.
The German company specifically pointed at a 198-MW order in Latin America that was made by an unnamed regular customer at the end of March.
About 41% of the total order volume came from Europe, while Latin America accounts for 44% and Australia for 15%, the announcement says.
