April 4 (Renewables Now) - NEXTracker and Array Technologies remained the two leading suppliers on the global solar tracker market in 2018 with shares of 30% and 12%, respectively, according to Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables.
Shipments of photovoltaic (PV) trackers rose by 36% on the year and surpassed 20 GW, the energy consulting and research firm said. Latin America was the largest market for the technology for the second year in a row. It accounted for 5.85 GW of global shipments last year.
The Middle East and Australia recorded the highest year-on-year increases in tracker shipments at 96% and 74%, respectively.
