(SeeNews) - Aug 29, 2013 - Brazilian consortium Logum Logistica will complete the construction of a 1,300 km (808 miles) ethanol pipeline crossing 45 cities in the states of Goias, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, by 2018, commercial director Andre Luis Martins said yesterday.
Also, the executive declared that Logum will create stations for ethanol storage at each of the pipeline's terminals. The ethanol transportation system will connect the refinery Replan of Brazilian oil and gas major Petrobras (SAO:PETR3) in Paulinia, southeastern Brazil, to the main ethanol-producing regions in the states Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, Goias and Mato Grosso.
Logum Logistica is owned by Petrobras, Camargo Correa Construcoes e Participacoes SA, Copersucar SA, Raizen Energia SA, Odebrecht Transport Participacoes SA and Uniduto Logistica SA.
