Shizen Energy Hakui City Shimbo Town Solar Power Plant

January 31 (Renewables Now) - A joint venture between Germany’s Juwi and Japanese renewables developer Shizen Energy has completed two solar projects on Honshu Island in Japan for a combined capacity of 5.3 MWp.

Specifically, Juwi Shizen Energy has brought online the 2.589-MWp Shika Town Inotani Chosuichi Solar Power Plant and the 2.746-MWp Hakui City Shimbo Town Solar Power Plant in Ishikawa Prefecture. Both projects were developed by Shizen Energy, while Juwi Shizen served as the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor.

The two solar parks were handed over to their operator -- a fully-owned unit of gas supplier Tokyo Gas Co Ltd (TYO:9531). The technical management of the assets will be conducted by Juwi Shizen.
