December 9 (Renewables Now) - Indonesia-based tire cord fabrics manufacturer PT Indo Kordsa Tbk (IDX:BRAM) will use 5 MWp of rooftop solar panels to partially power its factory and other facilities it has in the district of Citeureup, Indonesia.

The solar PV project was entrusted to French multi-energy group TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTE), the companies announced.

Under the agreement, TotalEnergies will install, operate and maintain the system. The project will entail the installation of 8,830 modules mounted onto rooftops of Indo Kordsa’s five facilities, including the Citeureup factory, warehouse and office buildings.

Once only, the rooftop panels will generate some 6,645 MWh per year and help Indo Kordsa cuts CO2 emissions by over 5,000 tonnes each year, the press release states.
