April 10 (Renewables Now) - Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) has launched a Request for Proposals (RfP) in a search for parties interested in building two solar power plants in the Indian state of Gujarat with a combined capacity of 150 MW.

The power producer is looking to appoint a contractor to design, build, operate and maintain a 50-MW facility at Dholera Solar Park in Ahmedabad district and a 100-MW plant at Raghanesda Ultra Mega Solar Park in Banaskantha district.

The selected contractor will also be responsible for the supply, procurement, installation and commissioning of the equipment, though GIPCL noted that due to the large volume of work involved it may choose more than one bidder.

Interested parties may submit proposals by May 6, 2019.
