Jan 20, 2015 (SeeNews) - Guatemalan power distributor Energuate said Friday it had awarded power purchase contracts for 18 MW of distributed generation based on biomass, hydro and solar energy.

The contracts for between 1 MW and 4 MW were awarded to Tunkaj, Broker Gas, Compania de Servicios y Combustion Industrial, Impulso Inversionista de Guatemala, Punta del Cielo, Hidroelectrica El Corozo, Hidroelectrica Maza, Hidroelectrica Carmen Amalia and Compania Agricola OV.
