February 19 (Renewables Now) – Eiffage Energia, the Spanish unit of French construction group Eiffage SA (EPA:FGR), has been awarded a contract to build several solar parks in Spain with a combined direct current (DC) capacity of 311 MW for local developer and operator X-Elio.

Eiffage Energia will be in charge of the balance of system (BOS) equipment for the parks and will build the corresponding substations, the company said Tuesday.

The solar parks will be located in the Spanish provinces of Albacete, Almeria and Murcia. They will be equipped with mono PERC solar modules of 380 Wp and 385 Wp, 105-kVA multi-string inverters and single-axis tracking systems.

Electricity generated by the parks will flow into the grid for general use.
