EDPR's 9-mo renewable production grows 6%

October 16 (Renewables Now) - EDP Renovaveis SA's (ELI:EDPR) total renewable power generation in the first nine months of 2019 grew by 6% year-on-year to 21.9 TWh.

The most significant increase was achieved in Brazil, where the company's generation rose by 50% to 1.26 TWh, due to capacity additions.

Production in Europe was up 4% to 8.58 TWh due to higher wind resource. EDPR's output in North America had a similar 4% growth with over 12 TWh produced.

At the end of September, EDPR had 1.2 GW under construction in Spain, France, Poland, Belgium, the UK, Portugal and the US. It manages 10.8 GW of operational renewable power capacity in 11 countries.
