Aug 18 (Renewables Now) - Canadian company Azimuth Solar Products Inc has launched a campaign on funding platform Kickstarter, seeking to raise CAD 120,000  (USD 95,000/EUR 81,000) to help start manufacturing.

The Kelowna, British Columbia-based business has developed portable solar generator systems and will use the funds to start building its first round of orders. It says it has secured a retail and assembly location and has production ready to start with local CNC manufacturers.

Azimuth Solar Products explains that its systems, which feature solar panels with tripod and frame support, are suitable for disaster recovery, off-grid living, tactical expeditions and adventuring.

The firm further says it has multiple patents pending in the US for its Sun Track Solar Alignment Sight and two-axis solar panel frame system.
