January 21 (Renewables Now) - Spanish renewable power producer Audax Renovables SA (BME:ADX) has found an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for the turnkey delivery of the 5-MWp Canamares solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Spain’s Guadalajara province.

The company informed on Monday its 100% owned unit Da Vinci Energia SLU had signed the EPC contract with Risen Energy Spain SL, of China’s Risen Energy Co Ltd (SHE:300118). The Chinese solar products maker is to commence construction immediately.

The Canamares solar park will be located in the town of Fontanar in the region of Castile-La Mancha.

The contract kicks off the construction phase of the first projects within the 320-MW PV portfolio Audax added in May 2019, the company said.

Audax expects to sign another EPC contract with Risen Energy Spain in the coming weeks to get the Carolinas I and II PV projects totalling 10 MWp off the ground. Both projects are located in El Casar in Guadalajara province.
