Argentine Emgasud appoints CEO

(SeeNews) - Jan 10, 2012 - The board of Argentine energy company Emgasud has appointed Walter Miguel Lanosa CEO, the company told the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange yesterday.
Under his leadership, Emgasud will work to take advantage of the growing opportunities in the power generation sector, in particular in the renewable energy segment, the company said.
Emgasud has gas pipeline and thermoelectric assets in Argentina and a new division focused on renewable energy. Last year the company built its first wind farm, of 80 MW, in the southern Chubut province with an investment of USD 144.3 million (EUR 112.8m). It is currently building its second wind farm, of 220 MW, also in Chubut.
