December 3 (Renewables Now) - Chinese solar module manufacturer JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:JKS) announced on Thursday that it has inked a contract for the distribution of 2 GW of photovoltaic (PV) panels for distributed generation (DG) in Brazil next year.

The new deal is between Jinko Solar Co Ltd and Brazilian solar solutions distributor Aldo Solar, which is said to have a 31% market share at home. Under the terms of the contract, Aldo Solar will distribute about 4 million PV modules of the Tiger Pro family.

JinkoSolar noted that this is the largest distribution agreement for DG ever signed by its principal operating subsidiary outside of China.

"We expect to double the business volume for 2022, mainly in the distributed generation operation. To reach this goal, we will improve our local team by hiring new employees to offer the best services to our partner,” said Alberto Cuter, general manager of JinkoSolar for Italy and Latin America.

Aldo Teixeira, founder and CEO of Aldo Solar, commented that the reinforced partnership with Jinko should help the company “to grow three digits” and generate sales of BRL 6 billion (USD 1.06bn/EUR 938m) next year.
